In the first half of the 19th century, ‘czech music’ was still limited to single popular genres like songs, choral music or piano music. But in the second half of the 19th century, larger scale music emerged and also music specific connotated ‘Heimatmusik’.

Werner von Schnitzler and Cosmin Boeru present some outstanding examples of this music.
