in der Bearbeitung von Johann Adam Hiller - Ecce quomodo moritur justus
Johann Adam Hiller published six collections of four-part motets and arias between 1776 and 1791. They offer a rich selection of works mostly from the second half of the 18th century and give us an interesting insight into a new blossoming of the motet, which it then experienced after having led a shadowy existence for more than a hundred years. Here the Sächsisches Vocalensemble (Saxon Vocal Ensemble) under Matthias Jung presents a selection of the most beautiful pieces from these collections.

Recorded in Dresden, 3–5 October 2014 & 16–18 January 2015
