The playing of string quartets is a challenge to perform. To play this complex music transparently and naturally, is very difficult. This is even more so in the string trio: an even more difficult, because even more than in the string quartet, the scoring for string trio invites a taut composition, stripped of any extraneous elements. The Goeyvarts String Trio plays highly difficult pieces of Schönberg, Webern and Schnittke, in a dazzling way and with a high level of perfection!
