Nine works - nine musical microcosms: this CD brings together contemporary monologues for trombone, composed by an international group of renowned composers. Between expressive sound theater, inner dialogues, and ecstatic outbursts, an impressive soundscape unfolds, showcasing the trombone in all its facets - poetic, radical, virtuosic. Rocco Rescigno, born in 1992, is a highly skilled trombonist who studied in Udine and Berlin, performing with top orche stras like the Berliner Philharmoniker and Duisburger Philharmoniker. He has been First Trombone Soloist with the Duis burger Philharmoniker since 2017 and is also a professor at Folkwang Universität der Künste. Rescigno is known for his work in contemporary trombone music, having premiered over 40 new pieces and recorded widely.
