The Holland Symphonia perform a large selection of highlights from Prokofiev’s most popular and enduring ballet score. The Symphonia were performing this music during a series of performances by the Dutch National Ballet and the accompanying DVD gives us a detailed and insightful view into the orchestral rehearsals, along with analysis of the score by the conductor, orchestral musicians, musicologists and the choreographer.
