Lynn Harrell wrote of Leonard Rose, his teacher, that he was “a perfect combination of the most remarkable virtuoso and caring and profoundly knowledgeable teacher”. Considered one of the greatest American cellists of the 20th century, Leonard Rose achieved prominence in practically every facet of music making. The material featured on this new DOREMI release is seeing the light of day for the first time.
