Germany’s youngest top orchestra is already releasing its eighth CD with GENUIN. This time around, the German String Philharmonic is presenting repertoire from late Romanticism up to the present day. The program includes works by Elgar and Suk, Mahler's famous "Adagietto," and Bacewicz's Concertino for Strings. It also features a world premiere recording: Shir-Ran Yinon’s Vivid, full of gripping rhythms and bursting with energy! The joie de vivre that emanates from the young musicians is joined by the heart and soul with which they play – and thus their CD is called Alma. Not only the name of Gustav Mahler's wife, but also the Italian word for "soul" or "spirit." A more fitting title could hardly be imagined!
