Hailed by Strad magazine as a “strong artistic personality”, Singaporean violinist, Ning Kam has gone on to perform all over the world. As Second Prizewinner at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2001, she was praised by Belgium’s De Standaard as “manifestly the best violinist of the competition”. She has performed under conductors such as the late Lord Yehudi Menuhin, Lorin Maazel, Okku Kamu, Lan Shui and Steven Smith with orchestras such as the Cleveland Orchestra, National Orchestra of Belgium, Liege Philharmonic, Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Svizzera Italiana, Malaysian Philharmonic and Rheinische Philharmonie. Ning has also collaborated in chamber music with Yehudi Menuhin, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, pianists Louis Lortie and Albert Tiu, cellists Marie Hallynck and Li Wei Qin and percussionist, Francis Kam amongst many others.
Pianist Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort is one of the most important Belgian artists of his generation. He concluded his training under Jan Michiels, Menahem Pressler, Russell Sherman and Elissó Wirssaladze and has also benefited from advice given by Jan Wijn, Jacques De Tiege, Hans Leygraf, Dmitri Bashkirov, Alexander Korsantia and Leif Ove Andsnes. He was one of the laureates of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium in 2007. Since that time he has given recitals in prestigious concert halls in Europe, Israel, China, South Africa, Canada and the USA. Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort has since performed more than thirty different piano concertos, including the five Beethoven concertos, with such eminent orchestras as the National Orchestra of Belgium, deFilharmonie, the Brussels Philharmonic, the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, the Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen, the Belgian Chamber Orchestra, the European Union Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestre National d’Ile de France, the Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kölner Akademie, the Anhaltische Philharmonie Dessau and the KZN Philharmonic Durban under conductors of repute, these including Paul Goodwin, Philippe Herreweghe, Jakob Hrusa, James Judd, Enrique Mazzola, Michel Tabachnik, Gilbert Varga, Walter Weller and Michael Willens.
