Original plays are works by Paul Sartorius, who worked as a court organist under Archduke Maximilian in Innsbruck. Born in Nuremberg, among others, was a student of Leonhard Lechner and was educated in Italy. Mastery motets from the Sacrae cantiones (1602) and a magnificent mass are the focus of the recording with the Marini Consort Innsbruck.
