Celebrating the 20th anniversary of its foundation the ensemble Amarcord Wien presents an album that also pays tribute to Ludwig van Beethoven’s 250th birthday. It combines arrangements of original works with compositions by Marcus Davy (a particular highlight: “Die Wut über den verlorenen Rubel”), Georg Breinschmid and Sebastian Gürtler – all with the unmistakable Amarcord sound.

As an alternative to redundant re-recordings of the original work, this album is a homage that could not be more personal.
