On her CD, Swiss pianist Marija Bokor presents music by Russian-Israeli composer Benjamin Yusupov (*1962) alongside rarely performed works by Bartók and Vaughan-Williams. Yusupov's compositions are based on both Western and Eastern musical traditions, drawing especially on musical traditions of various Jewish-ethnic communities.
