The National Arts Centre Orchestra, under the direction of Alexander Shelley, presents its new album as part of a recording cycle themed Clara - Robert - Johannes. Lyrical Echoes is the second of four albums to be released over the next two years as part of this cycle that explores the closely intertwined personal and artistic connections between three musical giants: Clara Schumann, Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms. This release includes Robert and Johannes’ second symphonies, along with a selection of Clara’s lieder, performed by Canadian soprano Adrianne Pieczonka and pianist Liz Upchurch.

Symphonies recorded on March 22 and 23, 2018 and April 4 and 6, 2018 in Southam Hall Canada’s National Arts Centre. Lieder recorded July 8-10, 2021 at the George Weston Recital Hall, Meridian Arts Centre, a TO Live venue.
