Z pewnością ta płyta ma dwóch bohaterów. Repertuarowo jest nim George Frideric Handel (1685-1759), a wykonawczo Christophe Dumaux, któremu towarzyszą muzycy FestspielOrchester Göttingen pod dyrekcją Laurence’a Cummings’a. Jest to nagranie live, którego dokonano podczas galowego koncertu Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Handlowskiego w Getyndze w dniu 24 maja 2019 roku. Rzadko można obcować z tego typu nagraniem i to jeszcze w tak wyjątkowo znakomitym wykonaniu. Christophe Dumaux to jeden z najlepszych obecnie na świecie kontratenorów. W różnorodnych, pod względem emocji i trudności wykonawczych, ariach z oper Handla (m.in. Ariodante, Rinaldo, Orlando i inne) artysta wykazał się wyjątkową techniką, przemyślaną interpretacją - naprawdę nietuzinkową - i zademonstrował brzmienie swego głosu w ogromnie szerokiej palecie odcieni. Christophe Dumaux is one of the most important countertenors of our days. He is invited to the world's most prestigious opera houses and festivals including the Metropolitan Opera New York, the Paris Opera, the Wiener Staatsoper, the Staatsoper Berlin, La Scala Milan, the Proms London and the Salzburg Festival.

Dumaux was the soloist of the 2019 galaconcert at the Göttingen International Handel Festival where he sung a program with arias from Handel's operas such as ''Orlando'', ''Rinaldo'', ''Giulio Cesare'' and ''Ariodante''.
