“The title of this recording was inspired by the Préludes, where the titles appear in brackets after an ellipsis at the end. I would like to demonstrate that the Préludes and the other works presented here are just as pictorial in character as Images. In my view, Debussy added the titles at the end of each Prélude because one does not need to know them at the beginning: they are inherent in the music.” (Mario Häring)
