The Deutscher Jugendkammerchor is a select national ensemble consisting of young, highly talented choir singers. Demanding choral music performed at the highest artistic level is what the ensemble, under its conductor Florian Benfer, has to offer on the CD “Nachtschichten” – its impressive first offering. The choir ambles through the various facets of the night with works by, among others, Brahms, Reger, Ravel, Sisask, Pärt, Nystedt and Rautavaara.
