Hope is Easter music for choir, alto saxophone, piano, bass and percussion by Danish composer John Hoybye (*1939), who is highly regarded as a conductor, arranger and composer far beyond Scandinavia. The mixture of beautiful classical choral sound and rhythmic intensity in jazz-inspired phrases is "typically Hoybye". The Easter music will be performed by the renowned chamber choir Ars Nova Copenhagen, accompanied by the Mads Haaber's Quartet. Hoybye's setting of Psalm 151 for choir and solo violin can also be heard.
