The two ever-curious Swiss ensembles Zeronove and I Pizzicanti present works by two composers whose reception is still limited to one aspect of their work. Fux was not only a teacher of counterpoint, but also created numerous secular and sacred compositions as Imperial Court Kapellmeister in Vienna. His Requiem was composed in 1720 for the funeral of the Emperor's widow Eleonore Magdalene. Around 10 years later, Pergolesi created his Missa in D. This sacred work is also a discovery and shows a completely different side of the composer.
