For the concept of the present CD, the following considerations were important to me: For a place like St. Gallen, organ works are about Gregorian themes. And in the selection of works I wanted to demonstrate as many colors (solo and ensemble) of the Domorgel. An originally compiled and repertoire-like program with Swiss and internationally renowned composers from Europe and the USA seemed to me the most suitable: Johann Gustav Eduard Stehle, cathedral organist and cathedral conductor in St. Gallen from 1874 to 1913, Jacques Vogt, organist of the cathedral of Friborg, and Lionel Rogg, concert organist and professor in Geneva, Charles Marie Widor, Marcel Dupré, Olivier Messiaen (France), William Faulkes (Great Britain), Egil Hovland (Norway), Tomás Garbizu (Spain) and Frank Tirro.
