The “paths” that Alberto Posadas treads in this saxophone cycle are also those between these mental and real opposites. The Veredas cycle is designed as a course. We wander through different spaces, and that can take different forms. In a concert, we are on the move in a very real way, overcoming distances, always finding our position relative to the respective saxophone anew. When listening to the recording, we only “wander” with our ears. The different spaces can be imagined, but the time spent walking along the paths between the pieces disappears.
